A Doll

"Ah," said the old woman street vendor, "My, how pretty you are, not a single hair out of place.
The little girl gave a weak smile. "Thank you, but it is only because I am a doll, nothing more, nothing less.
The old woman's eyes widened. "How wonderful life must be; to never have to worry about age or death. However, in my case, these problems are looming quite near. You are perfection."
"I see. Perfection does not exist or at least not for me. I feel nothing and I must be nothing. It may seem wonderful, but only on the outside, the inside is very hollow."
"I see," said the old woman, obviously impressed by the wisdom expressed before her.
"Yes,"said the girl and with that she walked into the sunlight, looking for what she longed.
